Thank you for visiting the Richmond Colonial Fair website. The Fair is a step back in time to a traditional colonial period, with entertainment for all, including: costumes, live music much more. Here, you will find information on next years’ fair, which include over 40 stalls which encompass: great food, wine crafts and sweets. We also cater for kids with lots to do.
The beautiful Historic Village of Richmond is located about 20 minutes’ drive East of Hobart. Come and see the oldest convict built sandstone bridge still in use, and St John’s Catholic Church, the oldest Catholic Church still in use in Australia. The primary school which is also the oldest primary school building still in use in Australia, the Anglican Church which was erected in 1834, and the Coal River, which meanders picturesquely through the centre of the Village.
The Richmond Village Fair is run by a local non-profit group of residents highlighting our colonial heritage, with funds raised from the fair being used within the community.
