RICHMOND VILLAGE COLONIAL FAIR

On your next visit to Tasmania or even if you already live in this great state of ours, come and visit the Historical town of Richmond. It's only 20 minutes from Hobart, eastward over the Tasman Bridge then via Cambridge. Come and see us any time of the year and then we would love to see you again at our Richmond Village Fair.

The Richmond Village Fair is a run by a local non-profit group of residents highlighting our colonial heritage.
We have a varied range of local food and wines, coffee's, icecream's, arts, crafts and a lot more.
Local music and entertainment, period clothing and displays.

2008 celebrated 180 years since the first Richmond Fair.
(A short History)

Our next fair, which has a colonial theme, (costumes encouraged) is to be held
on Sunday March 18th 2012 from 10.00 am till 3.00 pm.

2010 was another great year for the Fair. We had a little rain which unfortunately affected a couple of our planned programmes but didn't dampen the fair spirit. A great day seemed to be had by all.

2011 brings as usual free entry with lots of lucky gate prizes.
Kim & Peter Colbourne on stage from 12-2.
Grand opening ceremony by a ghost from the past at 12.15.
Lots and lots and lots of stalls, Yummy food and wine.
Grand auction at 1pm.
Stilt walkers, face painting, historic military vehicles, shingle splitting.
Double decker bus rides and train rides.
Spinning and cake decorating demonstrations.
Sausage making demonstrations.
Pot Belly strings on stage from 2-4.
Don’t even THINK of not coming.
